Countdown to Human Rights Day 2009
This year, Human Rights Day on 10 December focused on non-discrimination. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights affirmed 60 years ago that “all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights”. Yet today, the fight against discrimination remains a daily struggle for millions around the globe.
To mark Human Rights Day 2009 ICHRP invited Council Members and other human rights activists to tell us why non-discrimination is important to them. You can view their short videos below or on the ICHRP Youtube Channel.
