Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights
Research on Assessing the Effectiveness of National Human Rights Institutions was undertaken in association with the OHCHR, which co-published the report.
Realizing Rights – the Ethical Globalization Initiative (EGI)
Alongside the Aspen Institute and the Earth Institute at Columbia University, the Council supports EGI whose work focuses on three policy areas: trade policies with a focus on poverty and multilateral institutions; health policy, with a focus on HIV-Aids in sub-Saharan Africa; and migration, with a focus on development. The Council’s Executive Director and a Board Member sit on EGI’s Board, and Council staff provide policy support to some of EGI’s programmes, notably its work on migration. EGI’s Senior Adviser, Scott Jerbi, works out of the Council’s offices in Versoix. EGI’s Director, Mary Robinson, has been a member of the Council since 2004.
Transparency International
The report Corruption and Human Rights: Making the Connection, initially launched in February 2009, was rereleased in a joint endeavour with Transparency International.
