11th Council Meeting in Kampala, Uganda 06 May 2008

The International Council is holding its 11th Council Meeting in Kampala, Uganda, from 9-11 May. Ugandan Council Member Dr Sylvia Tamale, of Makerere University, is hosting the event. Council members and guests will discuss current and emerging human rights issues, including corruption, civil conflict, and questions related to sexuality.
This will be the first Council meeting in Sub-Saharan Africa. The meeting is the occasion for members to identify possible issues for future Council research projects.
