ICHRP at MAAC Training Seminar in Yerevan 06 October 2009

On 26 September 2009, Julio Bacio Terracino, one of the Lead Researchers of the ICHRP
project on corruption and human rights, conducted a training session at a seminar organised by Mobilizing Action against Corruption (MAAC) in Yerevan, Armenia.

The training addressed the links between corruption and human rights, in particular the negative impact of corruption on human rights, and discussed several examples from the Armenian experience. The session was part of a broader project aimed at establishing links between the Armenian Human Rights Defender Office and anti-corruption advocacy and assistance centres from different regions of Armenia. The ICHRP report: Corruption and Human Rights: Making the Connection, which has been published in Armenian and widely disseminated in the country through MAAC, is one of the major resource materials for these trainings.
