Racismo: las raíces económicas de la discriminación (2001)
Introducción
El presente informe fue elaborado dentro del contexto de la la Conferencia de las Naciones Unidas del 2001 sobre el racismo, la discriminación racial, la xenofobia y las formas conexas de intolerancia. El informe analiza el desafío de la discriminación arraigada y su vinculación con la pobreza. En él se argumenta que es necesario emprender acciones coordinadas en diversas áreas de políticas con el objetivo de poner fin a la exclusión racial y económica. Asimismo, el estudio determina algunas de las políticas que se deben combinar con el fin de poder ejecutar cambios de largo plazo.

Investigador principal
Stephanie Farrior, fue la Relatora de la reunión. Elaboró un resumen que sirvió de base para el presente informe. Durante la investigación, Stephanie Farrior era profesora de derecho internacional en la Pennsylvania State University. Fue también directora del Programa de Organizaciones Jurídicas e Internacionales de Amnistía Internacional. Asimismo, ha sido miembro de la junta directiva del Center for Justice and Accountability y de un State Chapter de la American Civil Liberties Union. Además, ha laborado como especialista jurídica en varias misiones de derechos humanos en Yemen, India, Malawi y Pakistán, además de colaborar con el Fondo Educativo y de Defensa Jurídica de México y los Estados Unidos. Stephanie Farrior obtuvo una maestría en derecho de la Harvard Law School, así como una maestría (M.LL.) de la University of Pennsylvania y un doctorado en ciencias jurídicas (J.D.) de American University.
